Announcing NORLINE, an internet discussion group for people interested in the history of the circumpolar world. Norline has been established as the result of a meeting of northern historians at the recent 13th International Congress of Historical Sciences in Montreal. It was decided that it would be useful for those interested in the field to have an electronic forum, particularly because those in this field live in many different countries, and have little other opportunity for contact.

Norline is run out of a computer at the University of Northern British Columbia, and is completely unmoderated--all messages submitted to it are transmitted to all subscribers. If you wish to join Norline, please send your name, your institutional affiliation, and your Email address to morrison@unbc.edu
