Seminar on Multiculturalism continues in the spring semester 2012!

Nathan Adair: “Fear and Loathing in the American Southwest: Framing Security Issues, Race and ‘Otherness'” and Tomasz Płoński: “Migrations & Immigrants in Poland: Scale, legal basis and politics”, Dec. 13

On Tuesday, December 13, we will discuss two research papers. Nathan Adair will present his research paper “Fear and Loathing in the American Southwest: Framing Security Issues, Race and ‘Otherness’”. Tomasz Płoński’s paper is titled “Migrations & Immigrants in Poland: Scale, legal basis and politics”. The papers are available on the course’s Moodle site.

Aleksi Huhta’s research paper “Representation of ‘Blacks’ and the Construction of Finnish-American ‘Whiteness’, 1925-1955”, Nov. 15

Aleksi Huhta will give the first research paper presentation of the semester on Tuesday, November 15 at 14-16. His paper is titled “Representation of ‘Blacks’ and the Construction of Finnish-American ‘Whiteness’, 1925-1955”, and it will be available on the course’s Moodle page in the end of this week.
