On Tuesday, November 22, we will discuss two papers. Aleksandra Kosiada will present her research plan “Foreign migration of Poles in the years 2004-2010. Portrait of a Polish immigrant” and Tuulia Lönnberg her research paper “Postpartum information for immigrant parents in Finland”.  

Aleksi Huhta will give the first research paper presentation of the semester on Tuesday, November 15 at 14-16. His paper is titled “Representation of ‘Blacks’ and the Construction of Finnish-American ‘Whiteness’, 1925-1955”, and it will be available on the course’s Moodle page in the end of this week.

On Tuesday, November 1, two students will present their research plans. First, Julia Born presents on the topic “Migration in Eastern and Western Germany, 1950-2000”. Tomasz’s topic is “Migrations in Poland (years 1918-1959) and their implications  on the social and ethnic structure of the country”. The seminar meets at 14.15 in the regular location, seminar room E325, Media Studies, Minerva, 3rd floor, Kaivokatu 12.
