REGISTRATION

The registration form can be found here. Please indicate all the events you will attend also in the social programme. Note that registration for the events will be confirmed upon payment on a "first come, first served" basis. We recommend early registration, availability of tickets to the social programme cannot be guaranteed after July 15. All registrants will receive a confirmation letter from the Congress Office by the end on June 2005.

Conference fees

Excursion to Naantali EUR 25

The registration fee includes:

• Attendance at plenary sessions, main sessions and parallel working sessions
• Conference material (abstracts etc.)
• Lunches & Coffees
• Welcome Reception on Friday evening
• Conference banquet on Saturday evening

Methods of payment

1. Bank transfer to the Congress Office/QHIST2005, University of Turku, Nordea Bank, Account No. 166030-116304. For economics department: IBAN FI35 1660 3000 1163 04, Swift NDEAFIHH, Address: Nordea Bank Plc., Aleksanterinkatu 36, Helsinki, 00020 Nordea, Finland.

2. Credit card payment with one of the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard. You can fill out and print the authorisation form here (pdf). For security reasons we cannot accept credit card authorisation through the internet.

All payments must be made in euros (EUR). Please make sure that your name, institution and the word "QHIST2005" are clearly stated on all payments. We recommend you to present a receipt of your payment when arriving to the conference in case of any unclarities.

Cancellation of registration and accommodation

If you are required for any reason to cancel your registration to the Conference, the following conditions apply:

• Up to the 1st of June 2005, all registration fees you have paid are reimbursed in full (excluding processing fee EUR 25).
• In case of cancellation between the 1st of June and 15th of July, 50 % of the total registration fees you have paid are reimbursed (excluding processing fee EUR 25).
• As from the 15th of July, no request for reimbursement of registration or excursion fees will be taken into consideration.

Cancellation must be made in writing (letter, fax or email) to the Congress Office.

Conference hotels

Congress Office has negotiated favourable room prices and reserved rooms for the conference participants in several Hotels in Turku. Please mark your hotel reservation on the registration form. Your reservation will be confirmed together with your participation. Note that the reservations will be made on "first come, first served" basis.

The hotel fees include breakfast (except the guest house Domus), service and VAT. Please inform the Congress Office of any changes in you accommodation.

Scandic Hotel Plaza
Beautifully renovated modern hotel on a walking street in the heart of the city centre. Facilities include 3 saunas, gym, business centre, restaurant and bar. All rooms have TV, minibar, hair dryer and ironing board.

Hotel Cumulus
The Hotel Cumulus is newly redecorated, cosy and functional city centre hotel, located 200 meters from the Market Place, a stone's throw from the river Aura. Facilities include two saunas, car park and wireless Internet. Rooms are equipped with TV and hair dryer, minibar in some rooms.

Centro Hotel
Centrally located, close to the Market Place, but away from the hubbub of the city, in an inner courtyard. Simple, modern and comfortable rooms, with wood floors,
shower, hair dryer and cable television.

Hotel Turun Karina
Turun Karina is a pleasant, economical hotel in the east side of the city centre. Comfortable, non-smoking rooms with TV and fridge. Street level Café serves breakfast and snacks. Other facilities include sauna, swimming pool and parking.

Guest House Domus
The guesthouse of Åbo Akademi University is situated in the campus area, close to the congress venue. The guesthouse offers simple, economical, single and double rooms, joint kitchen. No breakfast available. Please note: only a very limited number of rooms available!
